MENLHA NURSING HOME (CIWEC)

The project is a private clinic serving to the travelers and tourists. The building is designed as a framed structure with typical Nepali design finishes. The building has sufficient facilities for patients, a dental clinic and two apartments on the top floor. The plinth area is 260 s. This four floor building has basement for X-ray equipment and storage. An annex building for kitchen, services etc extends on to a lawn for eating spaces. The building is designed to provide a caring atmosphere for patients. Hygienic finishes have been used in the interiors and the grid slab is used on the ceiling of waiting room. The exterior wall is of local fair faced brick. The building has large openings to provide adequate natural light. The grid slab is designed to encase decorative lighting fixtures. The sanitary system includes septic tank, soak pit, water tank and a medical incinerator.
