The project is a Children Hospital with 37 beds and full supporting facilities. The total plinth area is 1554 square meter (1672 square feet). The facilities of the hospital include Out Patient Department, In Patient Department, Operation Theater Suite, Critical Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, Physiotherapy, Administration and Utilities including waiting, cooking etc.
The support facilities inside the complex include electrical incinerator, generator for electrical back up, Central Sterilized Service Division (CSSD) etc.
The exterior architecture is in Japanese style, as per the request of the client, with local (Cambodian) architectural details.

CENTRAL NUTRITION CHILDREN HOSPITAL
The hospital service caters to under-nourished and mal-nourished children. The main building consists of open ward for 60 children, an operating theater and treatment room. Auxiliary functions and offices are also included in this main building.
The structural system of the main building is load bearing brick masonry walls with cavity for insulation against heat and protection against damp. Steel Trusses are used for roof support system with false ceiling in the interiors.
Along with the main building, the design and construction supervision of one storied building was also carried out. This building includes out-patient department and education services. A covered pathway connects all services.
The design of the building incorporates traditional arched arcades and sloped roof forms. The unique footprint of the building makes it visually small to make it more inviting to local mothers and children.
CHILD HAVEN, NEPAL
The project is an architectural / engineering design and supervision of building complex for Child Heaven, an international project that aims at providing education, lodging and food to orphans. The complex is planned for 200 children but currently there are only 100 children availing the facilities at this complex. This complex provides facilities like primary education, vocational training, dormitory etc. The total land area is about 12,000 square feet. And the building coverage is 80% of the land area. The building complex includes dormitory, utilities building, school building, a guard house and a doctor’s residence. The total floor area of all the buildings is approximately 36,000 square feet.
The main structural system is column beam system (frame system) with flat/slope roof and infill brick walls.
The architecture is in Nepali style with fair faced brick facade. Metal doors and windows and local building details are incorporated in the building facade.
CHANCERY CANTEEN
The project is new construction of Canteen/Snack bar inside the Chancery Complex, US Embassy. The Canteen consists of dining hall and kitchen, which can serve for about 40 staffs. The total floor area of the Canteen/Snack bar is 104.55 sq. m. The building is a single storey. The main structural system is column beam (framed) system. The roof is steel truss roof with galvanized corrugated sheets. The ceiling is gypsum board ceiling with insulation for good thermal performance against prevailing heat and damp.
The design of the building is a typical Nepal style with fair- faced local brick building facade. Timber doors, windows, and local building details enriched the building façade.
ARYATARA SCHOOL
It is a house for young nuns. The target is to grow up the children with special (Buddhist) education and pray for good. At present the building is for dormitory as well as for the school. Prayhall and separate school building are in future provision. It is situated on sloped land. The beautiful panorama of Patan city can be viewed from the site. The building is three storeys and is constructed with beam and column (frame structure) system. The roof is flat. The walls are infill brick walls with stone facing on facade.
The architecture of the building adopts modern architecture with Buddhist styled building details on facade and on the doors and windows.
