DISABLED CHILDREN HOSPITAL & REHABILITATION CENTRE

The project is an orthopedic hospital and rehabilitation centre for disabled children with full supporting facilities inside the complex. The plinth area is 4,650 square meter (50,034 square feet). Hospital services consist of: In Patient Department (IPD), Out Patient Department (OPD), and Operation
Suite with 3 operation theatres (OT), Physiotherapy, Spinal cord Injury (SCI), Rehabilitation and Training, X-Ray Section, Laboratory Section, Central Sterilized Support Division (CSSD) and administration. There are altogether 63 beds in the hospital. There is separate building for an orthopedic workshop.
The hospital has its own electrical incinerator, generator and all clinical gas facilities. The architecture of the hospital adopts a local style. The concept was derived from ancient Newari palaces of the Kathmandu Valley; buildings arranged around several courtyards. The hospital is situated on a hill overlooking Banepa City with the Himalayas in the background.
