RESIDENCE FOR MR AND MRS SHAH

The project is a home for a Nepali upper middle class family of four members. The plinth area is 1400 square feet. There are living, dining, and kitchen guest rooms with a restroom on the ground floor. There is also a deck covered with trellis with vines. The site also contains a large garden in front of the deck and a kitchen garden at the back with a maid’s quarter. Three bedrooms with attached dressing and WC and a family room are on the first floor.
The main structural system is a column-beam system (frame system) with a flat/slope roof and infill brick walls. The architecture adopts a mix of a modern and traditional style. The building facade is plastered and painted. Wood doors and windows adopt traditional style.
The local building details enrich the building facade. There is beautiful scenery of mountains and Himalayas from the site.
